Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, combine milk, egg, oil (or butter), and vanilla.
Combine: Add wet ingredients to dry and stir just until combined (don’t overmix).
Bake: Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 45–50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Finish with topping: While warm, brush loaf with melted butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar.
