Simple 4-Ingredient Homemade Bread

In a small bowl, combine warm water and dry yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until a rough dough forms.

Knead the Dough:
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise:
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Shape and Second Rise:
Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it on a baking sheet or in a loaf pan. Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes.

Bake:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.

Cool and Serve:
Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack before slicing. Enjoy fresh with butter, jam, or your favorite spreads.
