Clear the freezer: Remove all food and store it in a cooler or insulated bag.
Place hot water in the freezer: Put the bowl of hot water on a shelf inside the freezer.
Close the door: Keep the door closed for 10–15 minutes. Steam will build up and soften the ice.
Check and scrape gently: After the ice softens, use a plastic spatula to carefully remove chunks. Avoid metal tools to prevent damage.
Repeat if needed: Refill the bowl with hot water and repeat until all ice is gone.
Wipe dry: Use towels to absorb melted water and ensure no excess moisture remains.
