Pioneer Apple Dumplings: A Taste of Timeless Comfort

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Apples: Peel, core, and quarter the apples.

Roll and Cut Crust: Roll out pie crusts and cut into squares large enough to wrap each apple piece.

Assemble Dumplings: Place an apple piece in the center of each crust square. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, then top with a small pat of butter. Fold the crust over the apple and seal the edges.

Prepare Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves.

Bake: Place dumplings in a greased baking dish. Pour syrup over the top. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until crust is golden and apples are tender.
