Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders – Fiery Fried Chicken, Pickles & Soft Buns

In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 2–4 hours, to tenderize and flavor the chicken.

2. Prepare the Coating

In a shallow dish, mix flour, cayenne, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Remove chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off.

Dredge each piece thoroughly in the seasoned flour.

3. Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).

Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–6 minutes depending on size.

Remove and drain on paper towels.

4. Make the Nashville Hot Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.

Stir in cayenne, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.

Immediately brush or drizzle the sauce over the fried chicken while hot.
