Jam-Stuffed Buns

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.

Add yeast mixture, warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.

2. Knead the Dough

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.

3. Shape the Buns

Punch down the dough and divide it into 10–12 equal portions.

Flatten each portion, place a teaspoon of jam in the center, and fold the dough over to seal tightly, forming a smooth ball.

4. Second Rise

Place the filled buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Cover with a clean towel and let them rise for 30–45 minutes until slightly puffy.
