Gyros Casserole with Garlic & Hollandaise Sauce: Mediterranean Oven Delight

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.

Add the gyros meat and cook until browned. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper.

Assemble the Casserole:

In a greased baking dish, spread the cooked rice or orzo evenly.

Layer the sautéed meat and vegetables on top.

Prepare the Garlic Hollandaise Sauce:

In a heatproof bowl, whisk egg yolks with lemon juice.

Slowly drizzle in the melted butter while continuously whisking to form a smooth emulsion.

Stir in minced garlic and season with salt and pepper.

Bake:

Pour the garlic hollandaise sauce evenly over the casserole.

Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.

Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and sliced tomatoes or cucumbers. Serve hot.
