Sear the Beef:
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Brown the beef on all sides, about 3 minutes per side. This locks in the flavor.

Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the seared beef on top.

Add Liquids and Seasoning:
