Pour about ½ inch of vegetable oil into a large skillet.
Heat over medium heat until hot, around 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Pork Chops
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
Dip each chop in buttermilk to coat evenly.
3. Assemble the Coating
In a shallow dish, mix flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Dredge each pork chop in the mixture, pressing firmly so the coating sticks.
4. Fry the Pork Chops
Carefully place the coated pork chops into the hot oil.
Fry 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 145°F / 63°C).
5. Drain and Serve
Transfer fried chops to a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or cornbread.
