Cream Tart with Mascarpone and Lemon

In a saucepan, combine milk, eggs, sugar, and cornstarch.

Whisk continuously over medium heat until the mixture thickens into a smooth custard.

Add Mascarpone and Lemon:

Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Stir in mascarpone (or cream cheese) and lemon zest until fully combined and creamy.

Assemble the Tart:

Pour the cream filling into your prepared tart shell.

Smooth the top with a spatula.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours until set.

Serve:

Decorate with fresh fruit or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
