Place the apple pieces in a large saucepan and add enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes, or until the apples are soft and tender.
Puree the Apples:
Drain any excess water, reserving a little for adjusting consistency if needed. Use a blender or food processor to puree the apples until smooth.
Add Chocolate:
While the apple puree is still warm, stir in the chopped chocolate. Mix until fully melted and incorporated, creating a smooth, glossy puree.
Cool:
Allow the puree to cool at room temperature for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator for 1–2 hours to set slightly.
Serve:
Scoop into serving bowls or glasses. Optionally, garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, or a few fresh apple slices.
