1. Make the Dough (Skip if Using Store-Bought):
In a bowl, whisk together warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Filling:
Cook bacon until crispy, drain on paper towels, and crumble.
Shred or dice the cooked chicken.
In a bowl, combine chicken, bacon, ranch dressing, shredded cheeses, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until evenly coated.
3. Assemble the Calzones:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Divide dough into 4 portions and roll each into an 8-inch circle.
Spoon filling onto one half of each circle, leaving a 1-inch border.
Fold the other half over and press edges to seal, crimping with a fork.
Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley.
4. Bake:
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving, as filling will be hot.
