Cheese Stuffed Mussels

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Mussels: Clean mussels thoroughly and remove any beards. Steam them lightly until they just start to open, about 3–5 minutes. Remove the top shell and discard.

Make Cheese Filling: In a bowl, combine mozzarella, cream cheese, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, and black pepper until smooth.

Stuff the Mussels: Spoon the cheese mixture into each mussel shell over the mussel meat. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if using.

Bake: Place stuffed mussels on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil or melted butter. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.

Serve: Garnish with extra parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Serve hot as an appetizer or alongside a light salad.
