Buttermilk Vanilla Cake – Classic, Moist, and Fluffy

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans, or line with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugar

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).

Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract, until smooth and creamy.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Bake the Cake

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve

Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Frost as desired, slice, and enjoy!
