1. Jump-Starting with Jumper Cables (Most Common)
You’ll need another vehicle with a working battery and a set of jumper cables.
Steps:
Park the working car close to yours (but not touching).
Turn off both vehicles.
Connect one red cable clamp to the dead battery’s positive (+) terminal.
Connect the other red clamp to the working battery’s positive (+) terminal.
Connect one black clamp to the working battery’s negative (-) terminal.
Connect the other black clamp to an unpainted metal surface on the dead car (not the battery itself).
Start the working car, let it run for 2–3 minutes.
Try starting your car. Once it starts, leave it running for at least 20–30 minutes to recharge the battery.
2. Push Start (for Manual Transmission Cars Only)
