Use paper towels or a clean cloth to soak up as much urine as possible.
Apply Vinegar Solution
Mix 1 cup white vinegar with 1 cup water.
Pour generously over the affected area. The acidity of vinegar neutralizes ammonia in the urine.
Add Baking Soda
Sprinkle baking soda on top while the area is still damp. You may notice fizzing—this helps lift the odor.
Let It Sit
Allow the mixture to sit for 10–15 minutes (or longer for stubborn spots).
Blot and Dry
Blot the area again to remove excess liquid.
Let the area air dry completely. For carpets, a fan or open window speeds up drying.
