½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or a small slice of fresh turmeric)

1 thin slice of onion

2–3 slices fresh ginger

1 small cinnamon stick (or ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder)

2–3 dried or fresh guava leaves

2 cups water

Honey or lemon, optional, for taste

How to Make

Place all ingredients (except honey or lemon) into a small pot with water.

Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer for 10–12 minutes.

Strain into a cup, letting the steam lift the aroma.
