Tacos with Indian Fry Bread

Make the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add cold water and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Knead lightly on a floured surface for 1–2 minutes until smooth.

Shape the Fry Bread:

Divide the dough into 6–8 equal portions.

Roll or flatten each piece into a circle about ½-inch thick.

Fry the Bread:

Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat (about 350°F / 175°C).

Carefully place each piece of dough into the hot oil.

Fry 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and puffy.

Remove and drain on paper towels.
