Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

2. Cook the Meatballs

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the meatballs on all sides (they do not need to be fully cooked through).

Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Creamy Sauce

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.

Gradually add beef broth and cream, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.

Stir in Dijon mustard and season with salt and pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened.

4. Assemble the Noodle Bake

Combine cooked noodles and meatballs in a large mixing bowl.

Pour sauce over the noodles and meatballs, tossing gently to coat evenly.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.

5. Bake

Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
