Savory Meat Pie with Plain Puff Pastry

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add minced meat, salt, pepper, and herbs. Cook until meat is browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

2. Prepare the Puff Pastry:

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to fit your pie dish.

3. Assemble the Pie:

Place the meat filling evenly into the pastry-lined dish.

Cover with another layer of puff pastry, sealing the edges by pressing gently.

Make a few small slits on top to allow steam to escape.

Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.

4. Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 30–40 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

5. Serve:

Let the pie rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with a side salad or vegetables.
