Mix 2–3 tablespoons of salt into ½ cup of warm water until dissolved.
Soak the Batteries
Place the negative end of the old battery into the salt solution for 10–15 minutes.
Make sure the battery stays upright and does not fully submerge.
Dry the Batteries
Remove the battery and dry it thoroughly with a paper towel.
Test the Battery
Insert the battery into a device to check if it has regained some power.
Repeat the process if necessary.
Tips for Best Results
Only attempt with alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D). Avoid lithium or rechargeable batteries.
Do not leave batteries in water too long—this can damage them permanently.
This method works best for batteries that are partially depleted, not completely dead.
