Preheat Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Patties:
In a bowl, mix ground meat with chopped onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Form mixture into 6 small patties.
Cook Patties:
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
Toast Buns:
Lightly toast slider buns in the skillet with olive oil or butter until golden.
Assemble Mini Pizza Burgers:
Place each patty on the bottom bun.
Spread 1 tbsp pizza sauce over each patty.
Top with shredded mozzarella and 2–3 slices of pepperoni.
Melt Cheese:
Place assembled open-faced burgers on a baking sheet.
Bake 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Finish & Serve:
Place top bun on each burger.
Garnish with fresh basil, red pepper flakes, or Parmesan if desired.
Serve hot.
