Select a healthy, mature branch or the main trunk of the tree.
Avoid branches that are too small or weak—they may not survive the process.
2. Make the Ring Cut
Use a sharp knife to remove a narrow ring of bark, about 1–2 inches wide, all the way around the branch or trunk.
The cut should go through the bark and cambium layer but not deeply into the wood, to avoid killing the branch.
3. Care for the Tree
After ringing, water the tree well.
Optional: wrap the cut area lightly with grafting tape to protect against pests and disease.
Do not over-fertilize; the tree will naturally redirect nutrients toward the fruits.
4. Monitor and Harvest
