Homemade Mosquito Trap – A Gentle, Natural Tradition from Home

Prepare the Bottle

Cut the plastic bottle in half.

Make the Sugar Solution

Warm the water slightly and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved.

Let the mixture cool to lukewarm.

Add Yeast

Pour the sugar water into the bottom half of the bottle.

Sprinkle the dry yeast on top—no stirring required. It will slowly release carbon dioxide, attracting mosquitoes.

Assemble the Trap

Invert the top half of the bottle like a funnel and place it into the bottom half.

Align the cut edges for a secure fit.
