Garlic Butter Crusty Bread: Soft Inside, Golden Garlic Crust

Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine bread flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add milk and egg, and knead until a smooth dough forms. Incorporate the softened butter and knead for another 8–10 minutes until elastic.

First rise: Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

Shape the loaf: Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or desired shape. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Second rise: Cover and let it rise for another 30–45 minutes.

Prepare garlic butter: Mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt.

Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the garlic butter over the top of the dough. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and crusty.

Serve: Let the bread cool slightly before slicing. Brush with more garlic butter if desired.
