Copycat Wendy’s Chili Recipe

Cook the Beef: In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

Add Vegetables: Stir in chopped onion, celery, and bell pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, until softened.

Combine Base: Add tomato juice, tomato purée, and diced tomatoes. Stir well.

Add Beans & Seasonings: Stir in kidney beans, pinto beans, chili seasoning mix, salt, pepper, and sugar.

Simmer: Reduce heat to low. Cover and let the chili simmer for 1–1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, until thickened and flavors meld.

Serve: Ladle into bowls and serve hot with toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or tortilla chips.
