Classic Beef Pot Roast – Tender, Juicy, and Full of Flavor

Prepare the Roast

Pat the beef chuck roast dry with paper towels.

Season generously with salt and pepper.

Sear the Beef

Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the roast on all sides until browned, about 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics

In the same pot, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until fragrant and softened, about 2–3 minutes.

Add Broth and Roast

Return the beef to the pot.

Pour in beef broth, ensuring the roast is partially submerged.

Add optional vegetables and herbs for extra flavor.
