Chicken Alfredo Calzones

Step 1: Make the Dough (skip if using ready-made)

In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

Add warm water and olive oil, knead until smooth (6–8 minutes).

Cover and let rise 1 hour, until doubled in size.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

Combine chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, black pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.

Stir in spinach if using.

Step 3: Assemble the Calzones

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.

Divide dough into 4 pieces and roll each into an 8-inch (20 cm) circle.

Spoon filling onto one half of each circle, leaving edges clear.

Fold dough over and press edges with a fork to seal.

Place on the baking sheet and brush with egg wash or olive oil.

Sprinkle Parmesan and herbs on top if desired.

Step 4: Bake

Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.

Step 5: Serve

Serve hot with extra Alfredo or marinara sauce for dipping.

Tips & Variations

Add crispy bacon or mushrooms to the filling for extra flavor.

Make mini calzones for party snacks.

Freeze unbaked calzones and bake straight from frozen (add 5–7 minutes).
