How to Get Rid of Ants in the Bathroom

Ants are attracted to moisture and tiny food particles, so bathrooms are often an unexpected hotspot. The good news is, you don’t need harsh chemicals to deal with them.

1. Identify the Source

Look for where ants are entering—around windows, doors, or cracks in walls.

Trace their trail to find the entry point and target your solution there.

2. Keep It Clean & Dry

Wipe down sinks, counters, and tiles to remove soap residues and water droplets.

Fix any leaks from taps or pipes—ants are drawn to damp areas.

Keep bathroom surfaces dry, especially around drains and under the sink.

3. Natural Ant Repellents

You can deter ants with simple household ingredients:

Vinegar Spray: Mix equal parts water and white vinegar. Spray along entry points, corners, and tiles. The strong smell disrupts their scent trails.

Lemon Juice: Ants dislike acidic surfaces. Apply lemon juice to entry points and areas where you see them.

Essential Oils: Peppermint, tea tree, or eucalyptus oils repel ants. Mix 10–15 drops in water and spray.

Cinnamon or Baby Powder: Sprinkle along windowsills, corners, or around drains to block ants.

4. Ant Baits for Persistent Infestations
