1. Prepare the Cabbage:
Boil a large pot of water. Carefully blanch cabbage leaves for 2–3 minutes until soft. Remove and pat dry.
2. Make the Filling:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
3. Assemble the Rolls:
Place a generous spoonful of filling onto each cabbage leaf. Fold in the sides and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
4. Prepare the Sauce:
In a baking dish, spread a layer of tomato sauce and drizzle with olive oil. Place cabbage rolls seam-side down. Pour beef broth over the rolls and top with remaining tomato sauce.
5. Bake:
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to slightly brown the tops.
6. Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle fresh parsley over the rolls. Serve warm with crusty bread or a simple green salad.
